Camping on Kauai
Camping is permitted at designated campgrounds at many of Kauai's state parks, county parks and forest reserves. Permits are required for an overnight visit to any campground and must be obtained in advance.
State Park Campgrounds
State park campgrounds are open seven days per week, all year. Permit applications must be received at least seven days before the camping event and are issued up to one year in advance. The maximum length of stay at any one park is five consecutive nights. Tent camping is $5 per campsite per night except for Nâ Pali Coast State Park which is $10 per person per night. Permit applications are available by contacting:

Na Pali Coast State Park
You need to apply early for a permit to camp at the Kalalau campground. Two-
Kokee State Park
The campsite is in a lovely meadow close to the Koke‘e Museum. Drinking water, bathrooms, a restaurant and a picnic shelter are available at the park headquarters.
Polihale State Park
The Polihale campsite is located on Kaua‘i's largest beach on the hot and arid west coast. Facilities include bathrooms, showers, barbeque pits, picnic tables and a pavilion.

Ha‘ena Park (closed Mondays), Black Pot Beach on Hanalei Bay (weekends and holidays only), ‘Anini Beach Park (closed Tuesdays), Anahola Beach Park (closed Thursdays), Hanama‘ulu Beach Park (Wednesdays), Salt Pond Beach Park (closed Tuesdays) and Lucy Wright Park in Waimea (closed Mondays).
