The condo is situated in Princeville in the heart of Kauai’s North Shore; a luxuriant ribbon of tropical vegetation, lava cliffs, sandy beaches and scenic coves backdropped by primordial peaks that carve a mystical silhouette.  Nurtured by the prevailing Trade Winds, the North Shore receives more rainfall than other parts of the island.  The rain brings rainbows and feeds the vegetation causing it to be even more lush and green than the rest of the island.  On rainy days, the mountains robed in rainforest, present an ethereal quality as clouds alternately shroud their peaks then drift and lift, revealing waterfalls spilling back to the sea.

Princeville is a carefully planned tropical resort spread over 11,000 acres on a 200-foot-high lava shelf between ‘Anini Beach and Hanalei Bay.  An elegant, old-world-style fountain and statue greets visitors and residents at the entrance to this manicured enclave of three luxury resort hotels, 20 condominium and time-share complexes, several private homes, a shopping center, and two renowned golf courses.

The condo is part of the Puamana residences located at 3880 Wyllie Rd., Princeville, HI.  In the Hawaiian language, Puamana means Bird of Paradise.  Our home is steps away from the brand new Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas.  Waterfalls, a lava rock garden, a wooden bridge, and lush tropical plantings welcome visitors to the exclusive resort and provide a backdrop to the view from the bedroom lanais at the condo.  The Westin resort is just steps away and features an excellent restaurant, poolside cocktail bars. and a general store.  The Princeville Shopping Center is within walking distance of the condo and features a supermarket, restaurants, and boutiques.

Puamana is bordered by the third fairway of the Makai Ocean golf course and the sixth fairway of the Prince Golf Course, which is rated by Golf Digest as the No. 1 course in Hawaii.

A path leading to the west end of Anini Beach begins just a few feet from the front door of the condo.  Eight minutes of walking down the steep bluff will reward you with a secluded sandy beach with good snorkeling sheltered by a coral reef.  Princeville is within a 10-mile radius of a dozen excellent beaches.
